How do I add a new product?

Click on the "Add new product" link under the Winery Management menu on the top left of the Admin screen. Use this page to a upload product image, choose categories, enter the product name/SKU, add a short/long description & set pricing.

Price & List Price should be identical if the product is not on sale. Price should be lower than List Price if you want to put the product on sale.

The product will display "Out of Stock" when "Quantity in stock" reaches 0.

Always set the "Bottles" field to 1 for 750ml bottles, 2 for 1.5L and 4 for 3L bottles...this determines weight for shipping calculations.

Check the box labeled "Wine product" to enable state shipping restrictions and uncheck the box "Apply global discounts" only if you don't want standard club/quantity discounts to apply.

NOTE: If you are using SecureWineShop - VinNOW Edition, all new products should be added to SecureWineShop by first making them available on the web from the VinNOW product maintenance screen. The VinNOW product field labeled Description will control the Product Name displayed in SecureWineShop & the VinNOW product field labeled Catalog/Web Description will control both the short & long descriptions displayed in SecureWineShop. When uploading a new VinNOW product for the first time in SecureWineShop, please follow the instructions under "How do I change an existing product?" to add a product image, secondary display categories, max/min purchase quantities, bottle weight and additional freight charges (if any) via the SecureWineShop admin control panel.
