Basic HTML tags can be used to format a product's Description & Detailed Description within SecureWineShop™. If you’re not familiar with basic HTML tags, when they are embedded in text they look like <b></b>.

Some HTML tags always must be applied in pairs. For instance, to begin bold text you add <b> and to end the bold section you must add </b>. A couple of the most basic HTML tags don’t need to be applied in pairs as summarized below:

• Bold – always in a pair -- <b></b>
• Italic – always in a pair -- <i></i>
• Red font – always in a pair -- <font color=”red”></font>
• Single line space – NOT a pair -- <br>
• Double (paragraph) line space – NOT a pair -- <p>

Please be aware that if you use any HTML characters at all in a product description, the store will expect them all the way through. So if you make something bold in an intro paragraph, you must use either <br> or <p> to signal any necessary line breaks later in the text.

NOTE: If you are using SecureWineShop - VinNOW Edition, product descriptions should only be edited within the VinNOW application.  Although you can still format/update product descriptions in SecureWineShop, your edits will be overwritten by the descriptions in VinNOW the next time your systems synchronize.
