Assuming the coupon module has been enabled for your SecureWineShop, follow these steps to create a new discount coupon:

1) From SecureWineShop admin control panel, click Coupons from the Store Management menu.

2) Fill in the following information in the Add new coupon area:

• Coupon # = coupon name...something like CLUB20
• Times to use = max # total redemptions allowed in your store...set to 100 or more usually
• Discount amounts can be set for different wine club membership levels or for everyone who visits the store
• The discount amount can be set as $ off, % off or Free Shipping
• Expiration date = coupon will expire at 12:01 a.m. on the date entered
• Allow store discounts = Yes for allowing standard wine club/quantity discounts to combine with the coupon, No for excluding standard discounts when the coupon is used
• Minimum qty = number of products that must be in the shopping cart for the coupon to work
• Apply to = optional qualifiers you can set for coupon use...you can require a minimum order subtotal, limit the coupon to only one product or only one category
• Free shipping coupons can be set so they only apply to specific shipping methods

3) Click add coupon to save your changes.

4) Check to see that your coupon works as desired before sending out a mass email.
