How do I add new menus or content sections to my website? |
Log-in as an Administrator to add new menu items or content sections to your website.
In order to add a new menu item, you must first create either a content item, category or section you want your menu to link to. All of these items may be created or edited using the Content pull-down menu located directly under the VinterActive Administrator logo.
Once you've created an item that your new menu will point to, select the menu group you want to edit from the Menu pull-down. While viewing any menu group, click the New icon at the upper-right of your screen to define a new menu item. You will first be asked where you want your menu to point, then you will be asked to specify where you'd like your new menu item to appear. Menus may be placed at the top level of any menu grouping to appear with other top-level menu choices or menu items may placed as sub-menus under existing menu choices.
NOTE: When using a website layout with a horizontal menu structure, take care that you do not define too many top level menu items. If you horizontal menu list becomes too long, it can "break" your website template and cause an unpredictable display. If this happens, simply move your menu item to a new location or edit the wording of existing menu items so they all fit in your desired page layout.
